ABOUT US:

Our 12,000 square foot retail store is near Albany NY and our primary products are telescopes, microscopes, radio controlled trucks, metal detectors, scales, rock tumblers, plastic models, and science products.  We have a 60x36 foot RC racetrack in the store and a slot car track.  We also operate a large internet business and ship items anywhere in the US.  Science and Hobby is one of the larger Meade telescope dealers in the US, and we keep in stock nearly every Meade telescope and accessory.  We also carry Celestron, Televue, and JMI telescope products.  We have been in business for about 15 years.

ORDERS:

Orders can be placed online through the website (scienceandhobby.com), by phone  (518 272 9040), by email (mannhome1@aol.com), or via paypal.com.  There is no sales tax on orders shipped outside of NY state. We normally ship orders within 24 hours, and use UPS ground for most shipments.  UPS 3 day, 2 day, and next day services are also available, and can be selected on the checkout page for an internet order.  We only ship by the US Post Office upon request.  We have very low shipping rates, and free shipping on many items.  We accept US orders only.  We accept APO and FPO orders if under 25 pounds.  We accept all major credit cards, money orders, and paypal.  Email us any questions you may have or call 518 272 9040.

Location: 1623 Second Avenue - Watervliet NY 12189 (5 Miles North of Albany) Hours: Monday through Saturday 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM.  Sunday hours vary but are usually 11:00-5:00 Directions: Take I-87 or I-90 to Albany NY.  Then take I-787 North to Exit 8.  Turn towards Watervliet.  Go 3 blocks and turn left on 2nd Avenue.  Store is 5 blocks ahead on the right across from Price Chopper.
