Off Axis Guider #778 This camera adapter connects a 35mm camera to an LXD75 telescope and simultaneously allows the viewer to look through an eyepiece to monitor and adjust the position of an object being photographed. Usually, a special eyepiece with an illuminated grid (reticle) is used with the off axis guider. These are sold separately (see below). The 778 off axis guider includes a 1.25" adapter tube which enables it to fit into the eyepiece holder of a refractor or Schmidt-newtonian. It can also attach directly to the rear cell of a Schmidt-cassegrain as shown in the picture. |
