Celestron solar filters are made with Baader Astron Solar safety film, which blocks 99.999% of the visible light from the sun, enabling views of sunsots, eclipses, and mottled areas on the sun. These solar filters also absorb or block ultraviolet and infrared rays making sun viewing safe. They fit over the front lens of the telescope.
For 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes including the Celestron Nexstar8GPS, the Meade LX90, and the Meade LX200. Celestron item 94162.
