SCIENCE AND HOBBY RULES FOR ALL CARPET RACERS!

-Science and Hobby aims to promote family-oriented racing. Unruly or unsportsmanlike conduct will therefore not be tolerated. If you are in violation of the spirit of this rule, you will be asked to leave the race area. If a person has conducted themselves inappropriately more than once, additional consequences may apply.

-Each racer MUST HAVE carpet tires to race on the track (1/18th scale does not apply).

-Only odorless tire traction compound is to be used (ie. Jacl the Gripper, Traction Action, etc.). Please check with staff to see if your compound is appropriate before use. Also please wipe off any excess compound before racing.

-Under no circumstances will we permit racers to drive if they are under the influence of drugs, or alcohol. This is considered a danger to others and their property, as well as our own. If caught racing (or in the store) in that fashion, strong consequences will apply and will be dealt with immediately. This is a family-oriented facility and will not be tolerated.

-No hazardous bumpers, nerf bars, chassis extensions, or other objects protruding from the vehicles are allowed. A body must be securely fastened on the vehicle to race.

-Intentional hitting of other cars ("take out"), short coursing, corner cutting, etc, is not allowed. All vehicles must always be operated in a counter clockwise direction around the track.

-No fighting, threatening, coercing, or any other type of intimidating behavior will be tolerated. No abusive language, running, throwing, or stealing will be permitted either.

-No destruction or defacing of any property in, around, and including this facility will be acceptable. Stronger consequences will apply and be dealt with immediately.

Please know these rules are in the best interest of the customers, on-lookers, employees and racers. We would like everyone to be safe and have a great time here at Science and Hobby. Enjoy the track!
